Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS) LNG Project
Trans Global Projects played a key role in Indonesia’s energy transition by delivering thousands of pipe joints for a CO₂ sequestration project, ensuring reliable ocean transport from Europe to Southeast Asia to support critical CCUS infrastructure.
FACTS & FIGURES
Timeframe
Executed between 2024 and 2025, covering full cargo movement and logistics.
Route
From Antwerp, Belgium to Batam, Indonesia via ocean freight. The route covered intercontinental transport across Europe and Southeast Asia.
Client
A German-based company in the pipe industry with global project involvement.
Transport
Ocean freight was used for long-distance cargo movement.
The Cargo
4,875 pipe joints, each up to 12.5 m long, with diameters between 457 mm and 635 mm. Total weight: 21,364 metric tonnes; volume: 26,046 cbm.
SYNOPSIS
The project supported Indonesia’s energy transition by transporting over
4,800 pipe joints from Belgium to Indonesia for CO₂ sequestration. This helped reduce the carbon footprint of the LNG facility through CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage).
