Jetty Construction Project, Antarctica
Trans Global Projects managed the logistics for a specialist shipment to Antarctica, coordinating the transport of construction materials and equipment from the United Kingdom to the British Antarctic Survey’s Rothera Research Station. The scope covered full biosecurity compliance and the delivery of approximately 13,000 cbm of cargo, including heavy and oversized units, via a polar‑class multipurpose vessel.

SCOPE OF WORK
TGP was contracted to perform the Palmer Station Commercial Re-Supply Project (2023), which included a full-charter ice-class, Polar-coded vessel to transport fuel, provisions, gravel and personnel to the research station and a return voyage. TGP also delivered the Palmer Station Pier Replacement Project (PALPIER), which included the purchase, bagging, biosecurity and transport of 2,180 mt of gravel.
One of the world’s remotest construction sites, TGP were required to ensure a seamless and flawless delivery under extreme conditions.
